At Prairie Home Inspections we never forget that buying a new home is the biggest investment most people ever make, and the process can be extremely stressful and confusing. There is always considerable risk involved when making such a large purchase decision. Having a inspection by a highly trained, knowlegeable inspector will make the entire home buying process easier and less stressful. We enjoy helping our clients in this process. Customer service is our highest priority.
We don't like to toot our own horn, but you might be wondering...Of course, all of our inspectors are highly trained and qualified. Our inspectors are members of recognized national professional organizations. We have all achieved the CRI designation with the National Association of Home Inspectors, recognized as leaders in our field. Among our inspectors, we have a former NAHI chapter president, a member of the NAHI standards of practice board, the 2012 NAHI member of the year and over 65 years of experience in the building trades.
We strongly encourage all of our clients to accompany us during the inspection. You should feel free to ask the inspector any questions you may have during the inspection process. The inspector will point out problems as well as features and assets of the home. We will discuss how things work, offer solutions and explain what routine maintenance is needed to keep the house in top condition. Armed with the information our inspector and report will provide, you can make your decision with confidence.
During the home search process, we believe that you should be your own first home inspector. Most people look around 15-20 houses before they find The One, then they often write an offer after seeing it for less than 20 minutes. It's easy to get caught up in imagining how your furniture will fit, and planning out new paint colors. Here is a checklist you can print out and bring to your showing to help you remember to look a little deeper.
